Client: Cellular Phone Service Provider
Business Challenge: How to provide destination gifts for 150 guests with a very limited budget.
This client was hosting an incentive trip to Maui for 150 of their top sales representatives and their personal guests. They wanted to present every attendee with a welcome gift and a room gift for each night of the trip. The cost of the trip left an extremely small budget for these amenities.
ID Solution: A Gift Sponsorship Program
We created a wish list of gifts to present to the attendees. We then developed a Sponsorship Program that the client could present to the cell phone manufacturers for whom they provide service. The participating Sponsor would select a gift for which they would absorb the cost. For their sponsorship, the packaging would feature the logo of the Sponsor along with the Clients logo.
Result: A true win-win outcome. The client was able to present their top performers with merchandise that they otherwise would not have been able to offer. The manufacturers were recognized for their contribution and had increased exposure of their name to the recipients. The attendees received a selection of nice gifts that created a buzz throughout the trip. Appreciation for the quality of the gifts and anticipation of next years trip and gifts was heard repeatedly.
